The Barn by Odin
The inspiration for this restaurant project was the distinct look and feel of traditional Hokkaido farm buildings. The main volume of the dining space was built at a frenetic pace using a sequence of simple metal arches prepared off-site. The structure serves as a frame for large, untreated plywood sheets affixed with metal rivets at the corners. Finally, with the dramatic lighting defined by the distinctive Caravaggio lamps contribute to give the project an almost church-like esthetic.
