Designers

We frequently commission some of the world’s most talented architects, designers and operators for our projects.

Bohlin Cywinski Jackson

BCJ, as everyone calls them after the first meeting, are some of the most respected and talented US architects of their generation. Renowned for their work with Steve Jobs on Apple stores and Pixar studios and iconic stores for japanese fashion brand Uniqlo, at Odin we feel their deepest talent lies perhaps in residential architecture. The firm’s founder Peter Bohlin is the winner of the 2010 Gold Medal of the American Institute of Architects.

BCJ and a team led by Robert Miller designed Odin Place.

Koichiro Ishiguro

The award-winning architect combines considerable technical depth with a delicate esthetic sense and an innate feel for the character of the place.

Originally from Nagano in the Japanese Alps, Ishiguro-san graduated from Nagoya Institute of Technology, before setting off on a career that took him to Tokyo, then New York before settling in Hokkaido. Koichi, as he is affectionately called worked with Hiroshi Hara as chief architect on one of the highest-profile projects in recent years: the technically challenging Sapporo Dome project.

Koichi designed Yasuragi by Odin.

JAMIE McLELLAN

Jamie and Odin are an almost perfect match. From his design studio in Auckland, New Zealand, Jamie draws inspiration from the natural surroundings right outside his window. From his work for leading sports brands he also completely understands the adventurous spirit of Odin as a playground at the heart of some of the world’s best powder snow.

Jamie graduated in 1999 with a BDes in Industrial Design, before cutting his design teeth with Tom Dixon in the UK.

Jamie McLellan designed the Odin Chair, and co-designed Odin Cliff with Chris Fjelddahl of Eight Partnership.

ANDREW BELL

Usually preferring to use a pencil on bits of paper rather than a mouse on a computer, Andrew’s true love is art and beauty. He spent a previous life as an award-winning creative director in renowned advertising agencies before following his heart, opening Earth Home, an atelier-workshop for Asian pottery with a special focus on the work of a handful of Thai ceramics craftsmen.

Andrew is an avid art connoisseur and drinks his white wine well-chilled.

Andrew designed the interiors of Odin House, Kimamaya by Odin and the Barn by Odin.
